How do I gain access to the Hall – where do I collect/return keys?

Once your booking has been confirmed, an email will be sent to you containing details of how and where to collect and return keys to the Hall

How can I see dates and times when the Hall is available?

Please visit our ‘Availability and Booking’ page. Our Availability Calendar updates in real-time and therefore indicates the current dates and times the Hall is available.

Can I use the playground area or the field at the rear?

Hirers and their guests are welcome to use these areas, however, these are public spaces owned by Colney Heath Parish Council, and as such hirers will not have exclusive rights to these areas. Members of the public also have access.

Enquiries to occupy these areas with gazebos, bouncy castles etc should be directed to the Parish Council whose contact details can be found at Colney Heath Parish Council.

Can I set-up a 'bouncy castle'?

Bouncy Castles and similar inflatables are permitted inside the Hall. It is important to note, the Hall floor area is approximately 10m x 15m with a ceiling height of 3.6m floor to the ceiling. Please be aware that ceiling fans are in use inside the Hall (each fan hangs ~40cm from the ceiling).

Hirers wishing to set-up bouncy castles on the adjacent field/playing area should direct their enquiries to the Parish Council whose contact details can be found at Colney Heath Parish Council.

How early can I arrive? How long do I have to clear up?

As part of your booking, you must ensure ample time has been added to set-up and clear away as necessary. We typically recommend at least 30-60min set-up and 30-60min clearing away, depending on the size and nature of your event. This guidance helps ensure the previous or next hirer has adequate time to clean up, or set-up as needed. No clearing up or extension into Sunday is permitted.

Can I have a BBQ?

The brick barbeque adjacent to the Hall is not included in the hire of the Hall. We politely request that hirers do not use this area or use their own barbeque(s) on the premises or adjacent field

Can I sell alcohol at my event?
